Facing the obstacles

I have been meaning to write a blog about my travels, but then it can only get summed up in the draft list. Work has gotten the load of me that is basically why I was never able to publish my works ever since I went to Surigao in 2014. That was quite a long time ago, most especially that I have toured South Cebu for 3 times this year. Well, anyway, here is another article that is hoping to get published on my blog.

THE YAZZER TRAVELS

Last November 2014, I had the chance to grab a Piso Fare flight going to Laoag for this year, particularly this month. And since I don't want to travel alone, I booked in my friend with me,not knowing the pros and cons of what I was doing to her career πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.  If I could sum up all the obstacles that we both encountered (and still going on), I could sum it here. Which particularly, is the purpose of this blog.
OBSTACLE #1:Leave of Absence
Lucky me,I am priviliged enough to file a leave of absence right there and then for the particular trip. She did the same as well, only to find out that her LOA will be approved a few days before the scheduled dates (the nearness of youuuuu😣😣😣). And the worst thing, we found out last week that it was indeed denied. 😱😱😱DENIED!!! Oh my,how can we do this? But then, we already had made some changes to our flight so, tuloy ang ligaya..πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

OBSTACLE #2: Finances
First agency that I had contacted quoted our trip at Php7,000++ per person. I was about to give in when we both realized that it was too far from the trip itself so maybe we could find something else much cheaper or if not,do the trip ourselves. Yes,we considered that. I became giddy at the same time nervous because it would have been my first time in a totally different place managing our trip. But then, out parents won't allow us to do so (c'mon,we're adults but still we are ladies, most probably the reason why they won't allow such thing to happen). So I went and looked for a travel agency who could give us the lowest price but has the same content with the other agency who gave a dolyares costing.. And true enough, I found one.. Tour Ylocos has provided us with the cheapest by far quotation we had. Since out trip is a few weeks away, we grabbed the opportunity and booked them. From Php7000++, we are now down to Php 3000++ per person. So case solved. πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

OSTACLE #3: Security
Since both our parents won't allow us to be alone with 'Manong Driver and Pahinante', we were quite hesitant to go on. I was about to quit the whole thing when the idea of having my older brother tag along brilliantly came to mind. So i asked my mom to convince him since he is currently based in Manila so it is much easier for him to do so. He kind of agreed since he wanted to have a vacation too. Another person we have in mind is a common friend who also is based in Manila. As of this writing, we are yet to confirm those two to indulge in our wanderlust.. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
OBSTACLE #4: Flight Schedules
Since we,I booked the flight last November, schedule changes are most likely. And yes, it also became and obstacle for us when for some reason, somebody has accepted the flight change offer. I could always remember what I had in mind that I would not confirm unless the leave of absence is final and executory (legal term???). But then some freak accident did so and I as forced to do some negotiations with the airline. Gladly, the agent I talked to was one who understood my concern so well (not to mention the previous agent who handled my call who reiterated that I cannot do anything about it since it was ACCEPTED) and gave me options on how to go on. And so, the problem for the flight has been settled and we were happy πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
OBSTACLE #5: Weather
Perhaps the biggest obstacle for this upcoming trip is the weather. As of this writing, rain has kept on pouring over the city and of the whole nation. Threats of an upcoming typhoon and the moonsoon winds and rains are all over the news. By far, this has been the most shattering of all the obstacles that we are having for this trip. But we believe that we can overcome this. We have always believed that through all of these obstacles we are facing, there would always be a silver lining. I haven't mentioned the bickering and jokes of some people when we try to ask them to come with us but they just plainly (and bluntly) tell us to stay put since everything that we planned for almost always has something that pull it down. Honestly it made me angry at some point that I told myself that this has to push through, since I planned it all along.
(As of this writing, this is the weather where I was located ☀️☀️☀️☀️)

Amidst all of these obstacles that we have encountered (and may still be encountering, God forbid), we fervently pray and ask that we may be free from all  things that pull us down for this trip to happen. It is not easy, believe me, but with faith and prayers, we can move mountains. Notice the solutions that were presented at the end of every obstacle? It is because we believed that this will push through.. Grab it!!! πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š

See you ILOCOS!! 😊😊😊😊✈️✈️✈️✈️
